此曲英光管弦 ( Electric Light Orchestra 俗ELO ) 1979《Didcovery》中的最後一首。依歌者ELO的主唱Jeff Lynne的法，由於得中有音量的歌曲，才在最後匆匆完成。是ELO第一首未以弦伴奏的歌曲，勇告示牌排行榜的第4名，亦ELO迄今在美成最好的歌曲。
首歌最人道的是跟在歌中Don't Bring Me Down後面的「Grroosss」，其是了化效果而的字，而被多人成是在喊「Bruce！」。了好玩，Jeff Lynne在某次的演唱故意之喊成了「Bruce」，Who is Bruce？也大家更丈二金摸不著了。
美太空署的天空室( Skylab ) 在太空行了6年後，因故障於1979/07/11被引返回地球。想是了搭的以便促，唱片公司特刊登告首《Don't Bring Me Down》是要Skylab的。或主尚切，此曲於1996真的被用作叫醒哥比太空梭上太空人的歌曲。
