此首《Snoopy vs. the Red Baron》( 史奴比大男爵 ) 算是一首「新歌曲 ( novelty song )。歌曲的感源自於美的漫「Peanuts」，故事中史奴比想像自己著英Sopwith Camel ( 索普威思 ) 式大德的「男爵」。歌曲由佛里的流行The Royal Guardsmen於1966行，才短短一多月的，由初的122名到了第2名 ( 仍不The Monkees的《I'm a Believer》)。歌然出了名，被漫的原作者Charles Schulz和漫表盟UFS提告侵，官司果，The Royal Guardsmen需返所有的版。之後，Schulz同意Snoopy相的歌曲。

歌曲中的「男爵」，其就是指一的德空英雄Manfred von Richthofen，位老兄的了得，是行王牌中的王牌，曾落80架的，普士最高士章Blue Max，而且其招，其座漆成色，方不注意到他也不行 ( 而之後其也有部份漆成色，想藉以分散注意及保他之意。) 。1918，Richthofen在空中身亡 ( 29 )，由其胸部的角度，研判有可能是被地面的射中所致。

Richthofen喜的Fokker Dr. 1三翼 (刻版)
1966，美福斯影公司出品了一部由治比柏和拉安德等主演的影「徽特攻 ( The Blue Max )」，即是述Manfred von Richthofen的故事。此片也是台唯一看由影片公司自行「片」的影，由於尚未送「」，片中可女主角裸胸的，在保守的年代，印象相深刻。

歌曲的有一段假造(？)的德，然後故意：Attention! We will now sing together the story of that pig-headed dog [Snoopy] and the beloved Red Baron。在歌曲1:46到1:54一段，原本是套用McCoys《Hang on Sloopy》的歌( Sloopy改成Snoopy )，而由於版的，在行前已歌除，只留下了略的和。
