此曲美黑人盲人歌手Stevie Wonder所，由自己作 ( 包含合成器、鼓等器的伴奏 ) 及演唱。而此曲最早是作1984的喜片《The Woman In Red》( 台：衣女郎 ) 的主曲，之後另行曲，不分在Hot 100、Adult Contemporary 和R&B等三排行榜拿下冠，也是Wonder在英的首支冠曲 ( 此曲在英、美之外的其他15家亦均冠曲 )。唱片在全球大超430，行的Motown唱片公司然也跟著大了一。
歌曲了，也跟著。Stevie Wonder之前一起合作的歌夥伴Lloyd Chiate和Lee Garrett向法院提起，主他在1976年9月了一首《Hello It's Me / I Just Called to Say》唱Wonder，Wonder剽了歌名和歌的子。Wonder他於1976年稍早的7月16日，在探母回到家中後即完成了此曲的歌。官司一直行到1990 ( Lee Garrett和Wonder是幼年即的朋友，於1985告。)，最後，陪站在Wonder一方，Lloyd Chiate遭到。
此曲於1985被提名葛美最佳流行男歌手、年度歌曲及最佳流行器演奏等三，惜均未 ( Wonder至目前止共得25座葛美 )。不，影的金球和斯卡倒是此曲「最佳影原歌曲」。Wonder在取斯卡致：「I would like to accept this award in the name of Nelson Mandela ( 曼德拉 )」。位反族隔政策的人士在坐牢，下可不得了了，南非政府在第二天即始取Wonder的音。1988，在敦一援放Mandela的音上，Stevie Wonder即是以此首《I Just Called To Say I Love You》作他演唱部份的歌曲。
The song is about a guy who calls his special someone with a simple message of love. It's very sweet, but to many, it crossed over to sickly。呵呵，的也是，不能常用，否真的被是「有病」！
