此首《Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye》美歌手兼曲作家John D. Loudermilk所 ( Loudermilk的另首《Indian Reservation》，亦知名曲。)，1962由Don Cherry以村曲首行，但未有何。之後有doo-wop合唱The Casinos ( 成最多有9人 ) 在俱部演唱此曲，迭好，而定唱片行 ( 1967 )，果然在告示牌流行排行榜拿下了第6名的佳，成了曲 ( 而合唱也此首知名曲 )。此，原作者Loudermilk眼此曲行情不，也推出了自己的版本，果是以失告。

年翻唱此曲的歌手、多，知名的有Eddy Arnold ( 1968 / Country Singles / #1 )、Neal McCoy ( 1996 / Country Songs / #4 ) 以及Andy Williams、Glen Campbell、Johnny Mathis、The Manhattans等等。
