首《Rose Garden》是美歌手兼歌者Joe South所作，在1969由自己唱行，然未得佳；接著也由位歌手翻唱，甚至包含唱《When Will I See You Again》的黑人女子The Three Degrees，而依未能在歌激起任何的漪。
Lynn Anderson向她任作人的老公Glenn Sutton表示想唱首歌，Glenn Sutton不同意，部份原因是其中的一句歌 ─「I could promise you things like big diamond rings」，由一般世俗的念，通常是男女的，是首「男人歌」。而最後Sutton是同意Anderson在音空唱，但也只是成有可能收在的歌曲之一。
Lynn Anderson唱的版本取快的奏以及愉的旋律，唱完成，Anderson所的哥比唱片公司的行後，持要以曲方式分在村以及流行歌曲的市行。位行果然是具慧眼，首歌在1970除得了及村排行榜的冠及告示牌百大的第三名。在1971Anderson得了一座最佳村歌曲女歌手的葛美，也成了她日後的招牌歌。
