此曲是美村歌手Conway Twitty自其1975的同名另行的曲，在村榜得第1名的佳，也是Conway人第12首的冠曲。Conway一生共有55首的村冠曲，村歌手的第2名，次於George Strait的60首。

其是首有「心出」道德的歌曲，一和一位女子睡，但心中所想的是另一位女子Linda。歌曲推出後，粉不地追Linda是？而Conway故作神秘、未直接回答，他很清楚，愈是有性，愈有助於歌曲度的推升。有人批判他，他反是多已婚男人常生的象，而且他未用粗俗不堪的方式表，村歌曲中包含有「性」成分的也比比皆是。

年後，歌曲作者Gene HoodConway提出，宣《Linda on My Mind》部分引用了他的歌曲《Too Much of You》( Lynn Aderson 1967的歌曲 )，Conway最得了官司，但耗4年，而首歌曲的旋律非常地相似。
