此曲首由美合唱The Eagles ( 非知名的村流行Eagles ) 於1954行，之後王Elvis Presley於1955唱，包含、前後共有5版本，第二版1956的首人《Elvis Presley》行，不，由於自琴的部分效果不佳，被作人消音了。年，王共有8首冠曲，而此首曲竟然百名的榜都摸到。
翻唱此曲的知名歌手也不少，有Roy Orbison、Ricky Nelson、Eric Burdon ( The Animals ) 等等，Paul McCartney在披合唱的前身the Quarrymen期，考了此曲作了一首《In Spite of All The Danger》。以下另Johnny Rivers的版本，此位老兄原王是朋友，1964某日去到王家，王他才好的《Memphis,Tennessee》( Chuck Berry 1959的歌曲 )，未料天後Rivers的新中就有歌名改《Memphis》的同首歌曲，王Rivers瞟了他的曲，得永不想再到Rivers。Rivers的《Memphis》在告示牌及排行榜均得了第2名。
