60年代後期至70年代的10年期，John Danver可是「得」的「空心吉他」歌手，然也是期唱片售成最佳的人。台歌友最熟悉的是他最具代表性的《Take Me Home, Country Roads》及《Leaving on a Jet Plane》等了。
John Danver滑雪及高夫等，而最主要的趣恐是行，之前一架Lear、一架翼的特技表演Christen Eagle及架Cessna 210 Centurion ( 塞斯 210 百夫 )，1997再入一架由好者造的Rutan Long-EZ，同年10月，John Danver此架N555JD的Rutan Long-EZ，不幸失事身亡，Danver有2700小的行，事後研判原因是行中法切油箱所致 ( 切手柄位置不 )，享年53。
