出生於1973的Gretchen Wilson，了追成村歌星的想，1996家伊利州移居至村音之都 --- 田西州的。了年，在酒吧演唱於遇到了伯 --- Big & Rich的John Rich，力邀她加一非正式的音社群MuzikMafia，也逐地打了她的音人。

2003，Gretchen WilsonSONY音旗下的Epic唱片公司，於2004行了她的首《Here for the Party》，想到竟一人，除了得榜的冠，得了4葛美的提名，最後是以主打歌《Redneck Woman》抱回了一座「最佳村女歌手」的。

的同名曲《Here for the Party》Gretchen WilsonBig Kenny、John Rich三人所合，曲在村及榜分得第3第29名，也了售的「金唱片」。Gretchen Wilson的一炮而，於她的「父」John Rich，看到自己的成被大大的超越，恐怕是另有一番的滋味在心。
