天，HBO影台有在播2015的新片《Ricki and the Flash》( 台：女王，又：曲人不散。 )，由梅莉史翠普 ( Meryl Streep ) 主演。其1990的《Postcards From the Edge》( 自的明信片 ) 到2008的《Mamma Mia！》(咪呀！)，可以看得出位梅姨很喜在影片中展露自己的歌喉，而且在部片中更是大唱特唱，此首《Drift Away》即片中的插曲之一。
《Drift Away》的原唱John Henry Kurtz，收在其1972的《Reunion》中。而最知名的是Dobie Gray在1973的翻唱版，此版本在告示牌排行榜到第5名，也RIAA了售超50的金唱片。其他翻唱此曲的歌手，也是多到族繁不及。2003，Uncle Kracker的翻唱版同入排行榜第9名，也成了知名的版本。
