Tanya Tucker出道在哥比唱片公司旗下，作人Billy Sherrill ( 其最著名的是亦村第一夫人Tammy Wynette及村歌王George Jones的作人 ) 原安排她唱《The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA》，她回了Donna Fargo ，自己是曾在播目中Bette Midler唱的《Delta Down》。果，《Delta Down》在1972了排行榜第6名，也才13的Tanya Tucker一曲成名。而在次年，澳洲女歌手Helen Reddy翻唱她的版本，拿下了排行榜的冠。另，《The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA》也在1973替Donna Fargo得了一座「最佳村女歌手」的葛美。些超越《Delta Down》的成就，Tanya Tucker有之感到懊悔？她在1988告的，若是以她在的回到初唱首歌，也成曲 ( 意思也像Helen Reddy得佳 )。此首歌都Billy Sherrill所作，她很幸能有其中之一，要不是如此，她在恐怕只是某牛仔的村歌后或是其他的什 ( a rodeo queen or something )。
