首《You Keep Me Hangin' On》是美黑人女子三人合唱The Supremes ( 主唱曾鼎鼎大名的Diana Ross ) 於1966所推出的曲，也是在告示牌Hot 100排行榜的第8首冠曲。後此曲被多位歌手及翻唱，像是Rod Stewart、Box Tops、Vanilla Fudge等等。而英女歌手Kim Wilde的翻唱版本，於1987再度登上了美排行榜的冠座 ( UK #2 )。
但在我的中，熟知的是美迷幻Vanilla Fudge的版本，此版本原唱的曲差之大。Vanilla Fudge的鼓手Carmine Appice在2014接受，提到他定翻唱首歌的原因：『我之前於唱慢歌，仔模歌的情境，是一首痛之歌，且其中包含有多的感情。若The Supremes的版本再放快一些，反而得她的音是的。是故，我定歌曲的奏放慢一些，也注入歌的感情，首歌呈出它有的痛感。』言之，就是The Supremes有唱出歌的感情啦！
Vanilla Fudge的版本在告示牌得第6名，是最知名的歌曲。收在中的此曲度有7分20秒，剪後的45曲度不到3分 。年台合唱也喜唱首歌，前奏完，爆出第一句歌，就感有些震撼力。
