首歌原名《Quinn the Eskimo / 斯基摩的昆恩》，是民王子Bob Dylan所，但在1967音後未正式行。1968被英Manfred Mann拿去翻唱，以《Mighty Quinn / 能的昆恩》歌名推出，立即成大曲，在英得了冠座，在美告示牌排行榜第10名。
一般咸信，Bob Dylan所造的歌中人物Mighty Quinn，感自於影星安尼昆 ( Anthony Quinn ) 在1961的影「雪海冰上人 / The Savage Innocents」中，所演的一位斯基摩人的角色。而在歌曲中的Quinn是一位超凡人物，由於他的到，能望，混平，同能吸引物到他的身旁。所以，有多人Mighty Quinn是耶的化身。而也有人得，可以如此能境的，然是在影射使用迷幻品了。但Bob Dylan自己引述，只不是一首的童歌了。
1989有部同名影「破威 / The Mighty Quinn」，由丹佐盛主演，影片中也出此曲，不被改成了雷鬼曲。一直想不起首歌年的中歌名，依稀有印象好像是「？？大帝」？
