The Flatlander : Joe Ely(左)、Butch Hancock(右)
由歌始的至「She said if you're from Texas, son,Where's your boots and where's your gun?I smilled and said : I got guns that no one can see」,很不令人解歌曲中的景像是在情色所 ( 哈哈,或是台想多了 ),西班牙是墨西哥的官方言,房中的女子不使用西班牙不知是何喻? 感Joe Ely喜首歌的,1995,他又行了一首《She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me》,但非上首歌的接,然女子最後是了西班牙,但是一字 -- Adios ( 再 )。

I met her in old Mexico
She would live in sad and young
This smokey room where no one could see
Her favorite poets all agree
Spanish is a loving tongue
She was born in Monterrey
And all the Christmas songs were sung
Padres knew what she would grow up to be
Saints and sinners all agree
Spanish is a loving tongue
Like a lion screaming in the jungle low
She'd never fool with things she couldn't see
She spoke to all the shadows in her bungalow
She said if you're from Texas, son
Where's your boots and where's your gun
I smilled and said : I got guns that no one can see
Well, after that we both agreed
Spanish is a loving tongue
I met her in old Mexico
She would live in sad and young
This smokey room where no one could see
Her favorite poets all agree
Spanish is a loving tongue
But she never spoke Spanish to me
Well, she never spoke Spanish to me
【She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me】
Waiting for the train to France
I hung my head in shame
Feeling for all purposes like a
man without a name
Adios that's all she said
I knew it had to be
But she Finally Spoke Spanish to Me
Life just passed by on the sly
I tried to live mine over
It's been a cold dark lonesome night
On the White Cliffs of Dover
Adios that's all she said
It echoed across the sea
But She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me
Wine and dreams
She blew the candle out
I came to her for something
I went away without
Adios, that word will always haunt my memory
But She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me
I left my boots in Italy
Souls wore out in Spain
I left my guns in London Town
Just smokin' in the rain
Adios that's all she said
I knew it had to be
But She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me
But She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me
Wine and dreams
She blew the candle out
I came to her for something
I went away without
Adios, that word will always haunt my memory
But She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me
