美歌手Joe Ely於1972另位朋友共三人The Flatlanders，但於1973即解散各奔前程，而此曲即昔日夥伴之一的Butch Hancock所，由Joe Ely於1977首行，而未能入榜。( : The Flatlanders於1998又再合迄今。)

1990，Texas Tornados翻唱此曲，然和部分Joe Ely等人另成的七人超Los Super Seven 有。看Joe Ely在了十年，也在Los Super Seven出的一同名得了一座「最佳墨西哥 / 墨–美」的葛美，有沾了些Tornados夥伴的光。
由歌始的至「She said if you're from Texas, son，Where's your boots and where's your gun？I smilled and said : I got guns that no one can see」，很不令人解歌曲中的景像是在情色所 ( 哈哈，或是台想多了 )，西班牙是墨西哥的官方言，房中的女子不使用西班牙不知是何喻？是想掩自己身份的堪？ 感Joe Ely喜首歌的，1995，他又行了一首《She Finally Spoke Spanish to Me》，但非上首歌的接，然女子最後是了西班牙，但是一字 -- Adios ( 再 )。
