此曲Chip Taylor所，位老兄有位知名的影星哥哥Jon Voight ( 沃特)，而哥哥的女更有名，超女演Angelina Jolie ( 安莉娜裘莉 )。

Chip Taylor自己述，他此曲的感自於某日在上的收音到石(The Rolling Stones ) 的一首《Ruby Tuesday》( 曲述一位生活率性、不受世俗道德的女子，以Keith Richards的前模特女友Linda作人物原型。)，而此首「早晨的天使」〉述「未婚前性行」或是「一夜情」甚或是「春」之，在的保守社不能被接受，故此曲首欲交由女歌手Connie Francis ( 康妮法西 ) 唱，被及其名、形象而遭退回。之後於1967由Evie Sands首行，因唱片公司未做宣行而致成不佳。次年1968，女歌手Merrilee Rush 行其版本，一上了排行榜第7名，亦得了葛美年度最佳女歌手的提名。

13年後的1981，女歌手Juice Newton翻唱此曲，成相亮眼，在告示牌百No.4、代成人No.1及 百No.2，也得了葛美年度最佳女歌手的提名。如此，台是喜Merrilee Rush的版本。
台女歌手芮初出道名Julie，演唱西洋歌曲，曾任由健常的Action合唱的女主唱。印象中就曾在上看JulieAction演唱此首《Angel of the Morning》，由於歌路合，唱得非常不。
