此曲美村歌手Buck Owens and tHe Buckeroos所，1965得村榜第1名 ( 榜第25名 )，也是Owens第6首的冠曲。此曲於1999入葛美名人堂，Owens著名的招牌歌之一。

原本，Owens和Harlen Howard一起合作歌，但度有些慢。某日，Owens看到了加油站ESSO油品的告「Put a tiger in your tank」( 意思是你的子力猛如老虎 )，生感，而成了此首《I've Got A Tiger By The Tail》。

歌曲的大意是男主角以是找了位如小羊的女生，哪知恰恰相反是猛虎，不生活奏，使得重下降、色白 ( 然是健康化 )，看是已招架不住。也在警示多嚼不所的麻及多的浪漫也是一痛苦。
