此曲原是模仿Bob Dylan於1963行，有刺共主的政治歌曲《Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues》，由於歌曲的主、等都相似，甚至被是Dylan的歌曲。不此曲的是加一音人的盛宴，然是受不了左右那些或是唱片作、或是商等人的嘴，才在歌中出：

未料到的是，此曲推出後迭好，在英排行榜拿到第8名，甚至成曲，在美告示牌100排行榜得第6名，也是Stealers Wheel唯一知名的歌曲。
1992，美影演Quentin Tarantino ( 昆汀塔提 ) 的一部犯罪悚片《Reservoir Dogs》( 港：落水狗，台：行霸道 )，在片中一段忍的割耳情，就使用了此首歌曲。此部影算是Quentin的成名之作 ( 之後又有《黑色追令》、《追比》、《令》等多部知名作品 )，而也使得此曲又再增了一些歌迷。
