英Poacher ( 偷者 ) 在1977得了目《New Faces》的才，次年 ( 1988 ) 行了一首由克斯手所的《Darlin'》，未能有所佳，受到多位歌手的注意和翻唱。同年，美村歌手David Rogers的版本在告示牌村榜得第18名，只能算是普普。而英歌手Frankie Miller的「奏版」在英排行榜勇第6名，不成曲，也成了他的招牌歌。而於原唱Poacher，恐是有些「情何以堪」的奈吧！

Frankie Miller的版本，等於是替此曲定了。接下的翻唱者也大致依循他的唱，像有鼎鼎大名的Tom Jones及Barbara Mandrell、Johnny Reid、Smokie人等，唯Smokie的新主唱音不低，感差一些，而原主唱Chris Norman的人版本，音就「速配」。

歌曲述的是男子在孤寒冷的夜晚，想念他的「Darlin'」，想打她，奈有可打的硬 ( 可能到口袋真的半毛 )，方Darling，感有些自以是，或只是曾的某女子吧！早期男女距交往靠的是信，然後是，再有了、智慧手。似此曲的主、容，在今恐以想像，不太可能再出了。
