清水合唱 ( Creedence Clearwater Revival，CCR ) 於1972解散後，主唱也是魂人物的John Fogerty始，1997行的《Blue Moon Swamp》，是John Fogerty人的第五。中他邀了及手分首歌合音及打鼓伴奏。1998，此替John Fogerty得了一座「最佳」的葛美，而此首《Hot Rod Heart》也是中的歌曲。

《Blue Moon Swamp》的封面是John Fogerty拿了把吉他泡在水中 ( 很明是了要 -- Swamp )，有人把吉他是否道具？John Fogerty回：哦！然是真的相片，了拍景，特去了一把新的「Fender Stratocaster」，拍完之後已吉他各部份弄乾，或以後可以在作秀使用。

Hot rod指的是改的高速力汽。歌曲大意是著改到嬉，要承受油踩到底 ( Put the pedal to the metal ) 的高速，的也需要有加了力的心。
