AC / DC是1973由Malcolm和Angus Young兄弟所成立的澳洲，走的是硬式。1976Atlantic唱片公司，始作全球性的唱片售，1977首度在美曝光。

1979，AC / DC行全球性第5《Highway to Hell》，於有所起色，打美排行榜第17名，也是售得最好的一。眼情一片大好之，的主唱Bon Scott於次年---1980死於酒量的酒精中毒，享年33。下子代大了，由於之前Bon Scott替的不凡，使得一度考是否要解散。後定重主唱，主邀一位之前大家不熟悉，但曾Bon Scott起，且口碑不的Brain Johnson，而Brain Johnson也欣然接受。神奇的事情生了，同年 ( 1980 ) 由Brain Johnson的《Back in Black》，出乎意料的在全球大了5000，下史上最佳售的第2名，次於Michael Jackson1982的《Thriller》。

我AC / DC的魂人物是主奏吉他的弟弟Angus Young，他以曾就的Ashfield Boys High School的制服作人的舞台造型商，以及著Chuck Berry的招牌「子步」，不有趣也相吸睛。哥哥Malcolm因身，於在2014退休，由子Stevie Young接替。目前仍在巡演唱及持中。
