在歌唱界，靠模仿成名歌星或，也不失造知名度的快速捷。首《Jude In Disguise ( With Glasses )》的歌名，然就是直接取材自披合唱1967的歌曲《Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds》，事果然有效，此曲在1968登上了告示牌100排行榜的冠座。

歌兼主唱首歌的John Fred接受，在前一首《Agnes English》小成功之後，他始集下一首歌的材。某次在佛里演唱，看到群中有位戴著老式大型太眼的少女，被一位男士推了一下，少女因此摘下了眼秒。他心想，了！也算是某的 ( disguise )。

John Fred曾遇到《Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds》的John Lennon，Lennon是一首很棒的歌，同告他心中的第一想法，就是回到家後要一首名《Froggy in a Pond with Spectacles》( 池塘中戴著眼的青蛙？) 的歌。

此曲John Fred & His Playboy Band最知名的曲。John Fred外型高大光，是路易斯安那州立大棒球及球的明星球，後回任高中球的教。而人意外的是他的健康情不如其外表，2004他接受手，而後不佳，在2005世，享年63。
