Wilson Pickett (1941─2006) 是美知名的奏和歌手，也是魂音展史上的一位重要人物。他有超50首的歌曲入美R&B排行榜，也不的跨告示牌的百大，他最知名的歌曲然就是1965年推出的《In the Midnight Hour》了，而同年的首《Don't Fight It》(R&B/#4，POP/#53)我也非常喜。

我通常只看到成功人光亮的表面，不知他在程中的辛酸。Wilson Pickett未成候之，曾和人合了一首《If You Need Me》，自己的唱寄了Atlantic唱片公司的作人Jerry Wexler，想到Wexler竟此曲交旗下另位歌手唱行，且成大好 ( R&B/#2，POP/#37 )。Pickett知道後直是要崩了。然而，Pickett腋下著唱去到Atlantic唱片公司，Wexler他是否件事的失感到生？Pickett：『It's over』。( 真是打落牙和血吞呀！)之後Pickett也得行此曲的，但成不如之前。

我第一次此曲是「小黑人」--- 金澎在上的演唱，印象中他唱得相不。早期金澎常演唱西洋歌曲，但後……，看一段有趣的料：

金澎曾在40之年，身前往美爵士舞。後，原本衷西洋音的金澎，反而始表演起台民和台老歌主。他因了外的表演後，更加外的西再怎好也比不上自己家的，反而向到的外表演模式和精神入台歌的表演，他的表演更具本土，性也更不同。

情真有像那句：
