一子考後，刺中「石佛」肯11日宣布退休，束19年NBA生涯。肯曾助刺拿下5次NBA冠，在他效力期，刺1072438、率7成10，在北美4大MLB、NBA、NFL、NHL人能出其右。而他退休後，下球季由保索扛下其位置。
肯是1997年的NBA秀元，他加盟後刺19年打季後，他也成了史上唯一能在不同的10年（1999、2003、2007、2009、2014年），都助母得冠的球。在19年刺有17球季至少拿下50，每季的率都在6成以上，可他的有多大。
肯共有15次入NBA最佳容，列史上第1位；而15次入NBA最佳防守容史上最多，可他在上的防守功力。他在1998年即「年度最佳新秀」，於2002、2003年例行MVP（最有值球）；另外有3次季後MVP（1999、2003、2005年）入袋，且15度入NBA全明星。
19年NBA生涯肯共出1392、累47368分。得分26496分、板15091、火3020次、助攻4225次；生涯有841次「十」演出，排名NBA史上第5位。
