American author Kurt Vonnegut has died at the age of 84. His novels are considered classics in the American counterculture. Probably best known is his number 1 anti-war novel from 1969 &quotSlaughterhouse-Five&quot, which depicts his experience as a prisoner of war during the firebombing of Dresden by Allied Forces in 1945.

偶然逛到的站，看到台史上一熟悉的照片：偕在民拔牙。
我就想到我的手有一首偕在自己墓碑上的，是佳的
「台的情」之史料。因此，我就把它上，友考。

偕 (George L. MacKay ,1844-1901) 在1901年死於淡水
寓所，享年58，在台工作了30年。依照他的言：
他的被安葬於在淡江中後面的偕私人墓地，
而非淡水的外人公墓，且在墓碑上刻上自己所的

I`m not sure if you are familiar with the 1961 comedic romance &quotLover Come Back,&quot which stars two competing ad agency executives, Rock Hudson and Doris Day, and a made-up product, VIP. I thought it was a delightful movie, especially for those in the business. And VIP ... some product.
In the movie, which appeared recently on TCM, the characters fight ethical and moral battles in front of the Advertising Council, whose members decide whether Rock or Doris is in the wrong.
Is this the same Advertising Council we know of today, which creates public service announcements? I ask because the Ad Council was founded prior to the making of the movie, but I was unaware of its role as the industry watchdog. Full disclosure: I work for the Ad Council, which is why I`m particularly curious.

Dear reader, I am a big fan of movies about advertising in general, and of &quotLover Come Back&quot in particular. (Among my other favorites: &quotThe Hucksters,&quot &quotA Letter to Three Wives,&quot &quotMr. Blandings Builds His Dream House&quot and &quotThe Thrill of It All.&quot)
The writers of &quotLover Come Back,&quot Stanley Shapiro and Paul Henning, fictionalized the role of the Ad Council for plot purposes because in real life there is no industry organization that arbitrates ethical disputes among the denizens of Madison Avenue.
So the council is presented as a kind of Supreme Court of advertising before which Ms. Day - playing Carol Templeton of the imaginary agency of Bracket, McGalpin & Gaines - charges Mr. Hudson - playing Jerry Webster of the equally make-believe agency of Ramsey & Son - with unethical conduct.
In reality, since its founding in 1942, the council has always served as the industry`s clearing house for the creation of public-service campaigns.
A decade or so after &quotLover Come Back,&quot the ad industry set up a self-regulatory process, under the aegis of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. But the process applies to advertisements rather than agency behavior and gives the public a way to complain about campaigns perceived as misleading or deceptive.
For those readers not familiar with the plot of &quotLover Come Back,&quot VIP was &quotsome product&quot because it was a candy that when eaten entered the bloodstream as pure alcohol. At the end of the movie, representatives of the liquor industry offer Jerry Webster a huge bribe (the industry`s advertising account) to suppress the formula for VIP and protect their livelihoods.
The opening of &quotLover Come Back&quot is also a hoot. An announcer intones: &quotThis is Madison Avenue, center of the advertising world. In these steel and concrete beehives are born the ideas that decide what we will eat, drink, drive and smoke, and how we will dress, sleep, shave and smell.&quot
And if the name Paul Henning sounds familiar, that is because a year after &quotLover Come Back&quot appeared in movie theaters, a TV show he created made its premiere on CBS: &quotThe Beverly Hillbillies.&quot Mr. Henning, who died in 2005, also wrote the theme song for &quotThe Beverly Hillbillies,&quot &quotThe Ballad of Jed Clampett,&quot and created the sitcom &quotPetticoat Junction,&quot a spinoff of &quotHillbillies.&quot

盟被禁商品中一半自中
盟委四表的一份告示，在被禁止的有害物品中，“中造”占了乎一半，五分之一在盟生。

市上出售的毛玩具看上去憨可，但要特心，弄不好藏了大的危，尤其是幼年孩童。因摸玩具的可毛，毛可能就落，落的毛不小心被年幼的孩子吞食下去，如果正好不幸，造成窒息死亡。然是最端的情。
但即便是分之一也是不能容忍的事情。於是，盟去年有害健康的玩具行了清理查，毛玩具等大1000玩具售上除名，禁止些物品在盟出售。在，位示，盟市在去的2006年因不符盟安全而焚的品比2005年多了三分之一，然黑名不局限於玩具。以上料是四（4月19日）盟委公的一份告示的。
些被禁品如果放出售，有可能引重後果，、、中毒、窒息都可生。最令人心的是，受到害可能性最大的是童。份黑名高居榜首的便是玩具以及同玩具相的物品。不是毛玩具引起洲人的高度警惕，示不良的物品被禁收，被盟人盯上的有小汽以及玩具配件。有些玩具直升自爆炸，兜上的橡含毒，有的玩具散不小心被吞吃下去。
玩具因其危程度而取代了原本在黑名上的第一名“家用器”，但第二名也不容。去年，吹、熨斗或微波等物品也都遭到了不准在盟出售的“厄”，主要原因是它不耐火引。除玩具和家外，廉小型摩托以及折式自行也被上了圈，它中也有越越多的品不符。2006年被禁出售物品中有大量打火、美容化物品以及滑雪品。
根盟四表的份告，如果按分，中是提供被禁品最大的供商：大查禁止品的一半自中，如果看玩具，中商所占的比例更大，近年，中已一成全球最大的玩具出口。
盟家本身同被禁品也有千的。告示，被查的禁止物品中，有五分之二就是在盟家生的。此外，德口品不格，去年，在德被查禁的物品多144件， 相比之下，地利得“安全”些，2006年共只有6件危品被查。

我是在一台北著雨的下午巧遇本。
另一著雨的下午去大路。因去台大的路，我就往大走。
民德先生的「著雪的下午」，拉丁文副，後文注解*。
「著雪的下午」是念作者父的文章。我因中代有幸知道那的反共文先，所以怖真是幸。篇至文我感，而且得文如其人。「…..他的文章一篇一篇的登……他的反共歌曲一首一首的作……」
(10年前，我在大停出版的{戴明博士四日}送先生，那候他就的：「…..你他一本一本的出……」)

我今天接到先生自州的信，我的信是，希望用案他。

流出版社做法很有代表性，找到一大群人（近一打）鼓吹，而他除了美之外，多取把小「教、志、反省」的路。台路的本文本，都是非正文的自自（自以是……..）。翻（正文）似乎都：而英文路了近前三章。
所以，建：既然你有本翻小【我定要不要「」】，不妨考它的翻方面可能的。
我梢微注意前章的重要的(John Donne/1572～1631)之『Devotions upon Emergent Occasions*』--路上容易找到本（它在Donne生前就再版）；方面，最好的介，或是周翰『十七世英文』的章介【包括23篇（）拉丁文的翻】。先生名翻「突引起的念」。在日本多翻「危にしての祈り」，近似《病危之的祈》---本翻出心裁，devotions似乎翻『修生活』，有太泛【我看John Donne的集翻等，都翻「祈」--字在古代各有意思，胡先生解】）。所以，或方面注，可能要、深入。只是外行解供考。

我在一九六九年入大的候，女人正急於五○年代破而出。爵士年代的精神在水瓶座代成了燎原大火。女人再度模仿起男人，表出立自主的模：抽、喝酒、想著（「不必太多，一就好」），避孕予了她「性感的力」。
我法融入陷的女性主者活著的大新世界，我是那玩（或有些保守）的莉布（Carrie Bradshaw，：《望城市》（Sex in the City）的主角之一，撰於性的作家。智趣，尚感敏，但面自己的生活是做愚蠢的定。）型，而型的女人要到十年後的今天才行起。
我的中性牛仔、不化的、你茫然神的毒品，也法理解和舞伴完全有接的舞蹈到底有哪一好。
在情的世界，我渴望格智。我喜三○年代影的采。我想像佛雷金姐（Fred & Ginger）一在白色的店客房跳著式人舞，像米娜洛（Myrna Loy）威廉威（William Powell）一喝著丁尼，像琳赫本（Katharine Hepburn）一著奇女主角的生活，穿著斜裁的金色服，和卡葛（Cary Grant）一起，著我的物美洲豹在第五大道上漫步。
我只，直我把三○年代浪漫化的太了。「那候我很，」她：「我根本不在白色的店客房跳舞。」
我把六○年代的理想主和激情都看得理所然，地以我正平地走向和男人的完全平等，在和家庭都是托邦世界。
我第一次到洲去的候，有的有子的行李箱。我第一次行尾酒宴的候也她的忠告，她男人喜家自的晚餐小包火肉和火腿，外送的昂肝和口起司。「往不利。」她得意地，尤其所有男生都著想拿她做的三明治。
我也她的，她警告我性平等是怪。
我以取平等易如反掌，所以件事可以留那些穿著黑色套上衣和柏肯鞋的姊妹搞定就好。我以自己有以後再真起，美也是充於各大事──如政治、性平等、民等等，情而且面耳赤的，而不拘泥於微不足道的左右派嘴，上也不出喜尖叫、穿著迷你裙露出腿的保守金尤物，低女人和女。
我果真不是能言未的克珊卓拉（Cassandra，：希神中言特洛伊的言家。）
我也性革命意想不到的後果，造成性更加混，女人在入二十一世，仍身陷立依的泥淖中。藩越少，水坑越混。我想到有越越多女人仿效男人，衣著到性高潮一不包，但我同也越越清楚性的差其有如天。
或者更奇怪的是，女人以前把玩芭比娃娃，到在反倒把自己改造成芭比娃娃。
也我知道，女人的步其是迂的之字而非直的高速公路，女性主的利只能持短的一奈秒，但女性主的反挫延了四十年。
而且每女性主利的刻，包括若汀（Geraldine Ferraro）被提名美副候人，安妮塔希（Anita Hill）指控大法官候人性案，一直到夫共治打著一送一口的第一夫人希拉蕊柯林（Hillary Rodham Clinton），都引更多女性的面反。
即使哲家、政治人物、史家、小家、作家、言家、治、人家、引努力不懈，世男女女依然在室、情室和室不清。
冒著引起大家疑「有我人是不是也可以」的，我承我也有答案。但是十年，我一直喜提出。本非任何有系的查，也不是美女性提供珍解答的用小。於性和事情，我有特的真知灼。我也不是要提倡某理、口或政策。我和隔壁家的女人一困惑。
