1. 表完成式:
Hace + 一段 + que + 在式述法的
= 在式述法的 + hace + 一段


2. 表示去式:
Hace + 一段 + que + 去式述法的
= 去式述法的 + hace + 一段

Hacer tiene muchos usos en Espaol.

Hacer es muy irregular en muchos tensos. Pero para hoy, solamente saber el tecera persona singular de el presente indicativo, hace.

Pues, aprendemos los usos de este verb extrao.

I.  Se usa hace para el tiempo (weather)

=> Hace + un sustantivo (hace + a noun.)

II. Se puede usar Hace para el presente perfecto.

presente perfecto:haber + past participle

To indicate the past by using simple present verb of indicative.

Hace + present indicative verb －> Past

It's very useful way to talk about past when you are including timeframe.Like if you want to know sth has been occurring,

estudia las frases y el orden de las parabras.

Hace seis meses que vivo en una hacienda en Chile.
I've lived on a farm in Chile for 6 months.


Hace dos semanas que nos casamos.
We have been married for 2 wk.

Monto en motocicleta por Portugal hace un mes.
I've been riding my motocycle across Portugal for a month.

Navega por el océano Atlántico hace cuarenta aos.
He has sailed Atlantic Ocean for 40 yr.


Qué es el orden?

If the sentence starts with Hace

Hace + Período de tiempo + Que + Presente del indicativo
Hace +        Time Period    + QUE + Simple Present

QUE needs to be put before simple present verb like first 2 sentences.
You can change around the translation to make it more literally.

Hace seis meses que vivo en una hacienda en Chile.
=> It has been 6 months that I have lived on a farm in Chile.

Hace dos semanas que nos casamos.
=> It has been 2 wk that we have been married.

if the sentence starts with simple present

Simple Present + Hace + Time Period

like last 2 sentences, no que is needed.

Present tense verb that sounds like a present perfect verb.
=> Hace is the clue about
     1. How long sth has been happening or
     2. How long ago sth happned.


III.  Hace is used to indicate how long ago sth happened.

Paró de fumar hace 10 aos.
She quitted somking 10 years ago.

Hace 2 días que me gradué de la universidad.
2 days ago, I graduated from the university.

Montaste un camello en el desierto hace un verano?
You rode a camel in the desert last summer?

Hace un invierno que mi abuela me tejió un suéter y una bufanda.
Last winter my grandma knitted me a sweater and a sacrf.


Hace + a specific date ~ can be translated as "last ____ "

hace un verano = a summer ago / last summer
hace un invierno = a winter ago/ last winter

all the verbs used in these sentences,
paró, me gradué, montaste, tejió
are preterit (or simple past tense).

word order:

Hace + time period+ Que + preterit
Preterit + hace + time period (no que)

comparison:

Cuezo este pavo hace 3 horas.
I've been baking this turkey for 3 hr.
Cocí este pavo hace 3 horas.
I baked this turkey 3 hr ago.


Uso esta computadora hace 30 minutos.
I have used this computer for 30 min.
Usé esta computadora hace 30 minutos.
I used this computer 30 min ago.

Exercise:
If you hear the English equivalent in
Present perfect -- conjugate to --> simple present
       Past tense --------------------> preterit

My mother has been looking for her keys for 30 min.
Hace 30 minutos que mi madre (buscar) sus llaves.
                                             busca

I moved to Chile 2 years ago.
Hace dos aos que (yo) (mudarse) a Chile.
                            me mudé

We have been married for 8 months.
Hace 8 meses que (nosotros) (casarse).
                               nos casamos
