老人破口大

他躺得舒舒服服的安椅

突然被去了光

 

他不知道

他的太早就下了山

久以照耀他的

乃是月光或返照光

或根本只是

幻的霓虹光

 

但他昏花的老眼倒欺他

那隆隆直直向他的

是一部摧枯拉朽的路

 

AN OLD MAN

 

he cursed out loud

someone was blocking sunlight

from his easy chair

 

he did not know

his days were long gone

the light shining on him

was the last radiance of the setting sun

or the moonlight

or simply an illusion

from the flickering neon signs

 

but his dim-sighted eyes had not deceived him

it turned out that it was indeed

a gigantic road machine

crushing  crumpling  roaring

straight toward him
