1. Do some research on the subject of the character, what kind of clothes they were, what period of time they are from.
2. after you got some images that you think it fit the character then start thinking of their personality, do some little sketches it helps to find the right character
3. Than do a rough drawing of the character, have fun with it try to find that character that is in your head.
4. Make sure the pose fit for the character, also the drawing itself has to look correct.
5. Once you have the rough drawing down, than take another paper put over on top do a new drawing over the rough one. This time focus on the shape and exaggeration, push the expression, pose, body and the overall look of the drawing.
6. Make sure you drawing still have life; even cartoon has life not a dead drawing.
7. After you have the right drawing down, than put another paper over that one. This time you try to do a finish drawing, a clean line drawing but still keep in mind GIVE IT LIFE, NOT A DIED DRAWING!!!!!
8. Than you can take that drawing and color it by hand or on the computer. After you get a finish character design of your own.

6. 必定你的是富有生命力的， 就算是卡通人物都是有生命而非一幅死的。
7. 在你把正的草下後，把草放在那另一後面。 次，你要著做一幅完成，一乾的，你心中仍然要得 「你的是富有生命力的，而不是一幅死的」!!!
8. 你自己完成了性之後，你就能拿那幅草看看是用手、或是在上它上色。
