child process（子进程）：在操作系统中，由另一个进程（父进程，parent process）创建出来并由其派生的进程。子进程通常会继承父进程的一些资源与环境（如部分文件描述符、环境变量等），并可以与父进程并发运行。（该词主要用于计算机/操作系统语境；在其他语境里也可有更一般的“派生出的过程/步骤”等含义，但不常见。）
